Handcrafted in small quantities, this limited release Sauvignon Blanc is an exceptional example of a barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc.
The grapes were fermented in seasoned French oak barriques. Some barrels fermented naturally, others inoculated with selected yeast. The wine was then aged on its lees for eleven months to enhance creamy characteristics and only the best and most interesting barrels were selected for the final blend.
Aromas of coffee bean, vanilla pod and maple syrup combine with a rich and oily palate. Flavours of toasted hazelnut, papaya, nectarine and cocoa powder create a complex and powerful palate, leading to a long and textured finish.
